  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon kirsch (cherry brandy)
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh bread cubes for dipping

Instructions

  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with garlic.
  2. In a bowl, mix grated Gruyere and Emmental cheese with cornstarch.
  3. Heat wine in the fondue pot over medium heat until simmering.
  4. Add cheese mixture gradually, stirring until melted and smooth.
  5. Stir in lemon juice and kirsch.
  6. Season with pepper to taste.
  7. Serve with bread cubes for dipping.
