A simple and delicious cheese fondue recipe you can make at home.

Ingredients

  • 200g Gruyere cheese, grated
  • 200g Emmental cheese, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, halved
  • 300ml dry white wine
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp kirsch (cherry brandy)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh bread, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic.
  2. Pour the wine and lemon juice into the pot and heat gently.
  3. Add the grated cheeses gradually, stirring until melted and smooth.
  4. Mix the cornstarch with kirsch and add to the pot.
  5. Stir until thickened and well combined.
  6. Season with black pepper.
  7. Serve with fresh bread for dipping.
