- 200g Emmental cheese, grated
- 1 clove garlic, halved
- 300ml dry white wine
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Fresh bread, for dipping
- Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic.
- Pour the wine and lemon juice into the pot and heat gently.
- Add the grated cheeses gradually, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Mix the cornstarch with kirsch and add to the pot.
- Stir until thickened and well combined.
- Season with black pepper.
