- 2 live Maine lobsters (1–1.5 lbs each)
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme
- Bring a large pot of salted water to boil.
- Add lobsters and cook for 3 minutes.
- Remove lobsters and let cool.
- Crack shells and remove meat.
- In a saucepan, melt butter with water, salt, pepper, lemon, and thyme.
- Poach lobster meat in butter mixture for 5-7 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
