A sweet treat made from orange peels, coated in sugar.

Ingredients

  • 3 large oranges
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash the oranges thoroughly.
  2. Peel the oranges and cut the peel into strips.
  3. Boil the orange peels in water for 10 minutes.
  4. Drain the peels and repeat boiling process twice more.
  5. In a saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water; heat until sugar dissolves.
  6. Add the peels to the sugar syrup and simmer for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove peels and place them on parchment paper to cool.
  8. Once cool, roll the peels in sugar to coat.

  • Choose organic oranges for better flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container to keep fresh.
