- 2 large oranges
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- Wash the oranges thoroughly.
- Peel the oranges and remove the white pith from the peel.
- Cut the peel into strips.
- In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add the orange peel strips to the saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes until peels soften.
- Remove from heat and let the peels cool in the syrup.
- Once cool, roll the peels in granulated sugar to coat.
- Let them dry on a wire rack for several hours.
