- 200g Emmental cheese
- 1 clove garlic
- 300ml dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Fresh bread, cubed for dipping
- Rub the inside of a fondue pot with garlic.
- In a saucepan, heat the wine and lemon juice until simmering.
- Gradually add the grated cheeses, stirring until melted.
- Mix cornstarch with kirsch and add to the cheese mixture.
- Stir until smooth and season with black pepper.
- Transfer to the fondue pot and keep warm.
