A delicious cheese fondue perfect for dinner night.

Ingredients

  • 200g Gruyère cheese
  • 200g Emmental cheese
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 300ml dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon kirsch (cherry brandy)
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Fresh bread, cubed for dipping

Instructions

  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with garlic.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the wine and lemon juice until simmering.
  3. Gradually add the grated cheeses, stirring until melted.
  4. Mix cornstarch with kirsch and add to the cheese mixture.
  5. Stir until smooth and season with black pepper.
  6. Transfer to the fondue pot and keep warm.
  7. Serve with bread cubes for dipping.
