A delicious cheese fondue perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 200g Gruyere cheese
  • 200g Emmental cheese
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 300ml dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon kirsch (cherry brandy)
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh bread cubes for dipping

Instructions

  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with garlic.
  2. Combine the Gruyere and Emmental cheese with cornstarch in a bowl.
  3. Heat the wine and lemon juice in the fondue pot until simmering.
  4. Gradually add the cheese mixture, stirring until melted and smooth.
  5. Add kirsch and season with black pepper.
  6. Serve with bread cubes for dipping.
