- 200g Emmental cheese
- 1 clove garlic
- 300ml dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh bread cubes for dipping
- Rub the inside of a fondue pot with garlic.

- Heat the wine and lemon juice in the fondue pot until simmering.
- Gradually add the cheese mixture, stirring until melted and smooth.
