A rich and creamy chocolate ganache tart with a buttery crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and salt.
  3. Add butter and egg yolk; mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in cold water until dough forms.
  5. Press dough into a tart pan and prick with a fork.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, then let cool.
  7. In a saucepan, heat cream over medium heat until simmering.
  8. Pour hot cream over chocolate; let sit for 5 minutes.
  9. Stir until smooth, then add vanilla.
  10. Pour ganache into cooled crust and refrigerate for 2 hours.
