- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chunks
- 4 oz chocolate squares (for filling)
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chunks.
- Take a small scoop of dough and flatten it. Place a chocolate square in the center and wrap the dough around it.
- Place cookies on the baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
