Delicious meatballs cooked in a tangy cranberry sauce, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 can (14 oz) cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
  5. In a saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until smooth.
  6. Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey instead of beef.
  • For a spicier version, add 1/2 tsp of chili flakes.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
