- 200g Gruyere cheese
- 200g Emmental cheese
- 1 clove garlic
- 300ml dry white wine
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Fresh bread cubes for dipping
- Rub the inside of a fondue pot with garlic.
- In a pot, heat the wine and lemon juice over medium heat.
- Gradually add grated cheeses, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Dissolve cornstarch in kirsch and stir into the cheese mixture.
- Season with black pepper.
- Serve immediately with bread cubes for dipping.
Notes
