Ingredients

  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions and shape into balls.
  3. Place one ball in the skillet and press down firmly with a spatula to smash it flat.
  4. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until crispy and browned.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  6. Remove from heat and repeat for remaining beef portions.
  7. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  8. Assemble tacos by placing a smashed patty on each tortilla.
  9. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, onions, cheese, and sour cream.
  10. Serve with lime wedges.
