Tender beef tips cooked in a rich gravy with simple ingredients using a crockpot.

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thicker gravy)

Instructions

  1. Place beef stew meat in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix brown gravy mix, onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Pour the mixture over the beef in the crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
  5. If a thicker gravy is desired, mix cornstarch with 2 tbsp cold water and stir into the crockpot. Cook for an additional 15 minutes.
  6. Serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or egg noodles.

Notes

  • Use lean beef for best results.
  • For extra flavor, sear the beef before adding to the crockpot.
