A hearty and flavorful lasagna soup made in a Dutch oven for easy cooking and serving.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Add broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, topped with ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
