- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 8 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil (optional)
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, chicken broth, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender (about 10 minutes).
