Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel and slice the onions.
  3. Lay each onion on a piece of aluminum foil.
  4. Add butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme on top of each onion.
  5. Wrap the foil tightly around the onions.
  6. Place the foil packets on the grill or in the oven.
  7. Cook for 30-40 minutes until the onions are tender.
  8. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
