  • 8 oz gluten-free elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Cook the gluten-free macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in the gluten-free flour until smooth.
  4. Slowly add the milk while whisking continuously.
  5. Cook until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
  6. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  8. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
  • Reheat on the stove or in the microwave.
