- 8 oz gluten-free elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Cook the gluten-free macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Whisk in the gluten-free flour until smooth.
- Slowly add the milk while whisking continuously.
- Cook until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.
- Serve immediately.
