A simple recipe for gourmet cheese fondue that you can make at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of Gruyère cheese, grated
  • 1 cup of Emmental cheese, grated
  • 1 clove of garlic, halved
  • 1 cup of dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh bread cubes for dipping

Instructions

  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with garlic.
  2. In a separate pot, heat the white wine and lemon juice.
  3. Gradually add the cheeses, stirring constantly until melted.
  4. Mix cornstarch with a little wine and add to the cheese mixture.
  5. Continue to stir until the mixture is smooth.
  6. Season with black pepper.
  7. Transfer to the fondue pot and serve with bread cubes.
