- 1 cup navy beans, soaked overnight
- 1 cup diced ham
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, sliced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Drain and rinse the soaked navy beans.
- In a large pot, sauté the onion, carrots, and celery until soft.
- Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the ham, navy beans, chicken broth, and bay leaf.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 1 hour.
