A delicious heart-shaped chocolate cake perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a heart-shaped cake pan.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in boiling water. The batter will be thin.
  5. Pour into the pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Let cool before frosting.
