A classic holiday shrimp cocktail with a tangy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp horseradish
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp hot sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil shrimp in salted water for 2-3 minutes until pink.
  2. Drain and chill shrimp in ice water.
  3. Mix ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce in a bowl.
  4. Season sauce with salt and pepper.
  5. Arrange shrimp on a platter with sauce and lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Use fresh shrimp for best flavor.
  • Adjust horseradish for more or less heat.
  • Serve immediately or chill up to 1 hour.
