- 2 cups shredded Gruyère cheese
- 2 cups shredded Emmental cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 garlic clove, halved
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste

- Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic.
