  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 8 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the Italian sausage in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic, cook until softened.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Add broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese until melted.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
