A simple and flavorful Korean beef bowl recipe that you can make quickly for a delicious meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Add brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes to the beef.
  5. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve over cooked rice.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Adjust red pepper flakes for more or less heat.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce if preferred.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables for a balanced meal.
