- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and chicken broth. Stir well.
- Add broken lasagna noodles, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Cover until cheese melts.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- Use ground turkey for a lighter version.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra vegetables.
