Panna Cotta is a creamy Italian dessert made from sweetened cream thickened with gelatin.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons gelatin powder
  • 3 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine cream, milk, and sugar.
  2. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  4. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let sit for 5 minutes.
  5. Add gelatin mixture to the warm cream mixture and stir until dissolved.
  6. Pour into molds and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  7. To serve, invert onto plates and garnish as desired.

Notes

  • Serve with fresh berries or chocolate sauce.
  • Can be made a day in advance.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
