A classic French dessert featuring a choux pastry ring filled with praline cream and topped with sliced almonds.

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup praline paste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Bring water and butter to a boil in a saucepan.
  3. Add flour, stir until a dough forms, then cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, beat in eggs one at a time.
  5. Pipe the dough into a ring shape on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown, then cool completely.
  7. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  8. Fold in praline paste, then fill the pastry ring with the cream.
  9. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top before serving.
