  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 3/4 cup warm water (110°F)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, salt, olive oil, and flour. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a towel. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each into a ball.
  7. Roll each ball into a circle about 1/4 inch thick.
  8. Place the circles on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes until puffed and lightly browned.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
