A simple and healthy red cabbage and apple side dish that pairs well with various main courses. It’s sweet, tangy, and full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 small red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 apples, cored and diced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add red onion and sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in red cabbage and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add diced apples, apple cider vinegar, honey, and caraway seeds.
  5. Cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
