- 2 cups cooked ham, diced
- 1 cup dried navy beans, soaked overnight
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a large pot, sauté onion, carrots, and celery until soft.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in the ham and cook for 3 minutes.
- Add soaked beans, broth, thyme, and bay leaf.
