- 1 lb ground lamb or beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil potatoes until tender, then mash with butter and milk.
- Brown meat in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion, carrots, and garlic. Cook until softened.
- Stir in tomato paste, broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add peas and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Spread meat mixture in a baking dish. Top with mashed potatoes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
