Sugar candied orange peel is a sweet treat made from orange peels boiled in sugar syrup.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Wash the oranges thoroughly.
  2. Peel the oranges and cut the peels into strips.
  3. Boil the orange peels in water for 10 minutes.
  4. Drain the peels and repeat the boiling process twice more.
  5. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil.
  6. Add the orange peels to the syrup and simmer for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove the peels and place them on a wire rack to cool.
