- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled
- 1/2 cup coffee liqueur
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- Cocoa powder for dusting
- In a saucepan, whisk egg yolks and sugar over medium heat.

- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Fold mascarpone into cooled mixture.
- Combine espresso and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
- Dip ladyfingers in the coffee mixture quickly.
- Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers in a dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
- Dust with cocoa powder.
- Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
