A luxurious tiramisu recipe with rich mascarpone cream and coffee-soaked ladyfingers.

  • 6 large egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Whisk egg yolks and sugar in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until pale and thick.
  2. Remove from heat and fold in mascarpone until smooth.
  3. Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks and gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Mix coffee and liqueur in a shallow dish.
  5. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and layer in a dish.
  6. Spread half the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  7. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining cream.
  8. Chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh, high-quality mascarpone for best results.
  • Do not oversoak the ladyfingers to prevent sogginess.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the coffee liqueur.
