  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup bourbon or rum (optional)

Instructions

  1. Separate egg yolks and whites into two bowls.
  2. Beat yolks with sugar until light and creamy.
  3. Slowly stir in milk, cream, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  4. If using alcohol, mix it in now.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  6. Gently fold egg whites into the yolk mixture.
  7. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
